Book Lovers Day

9th of august is observed as book lovers day to encourage bibliophiles to celebrate reading and literature. To honor this day, we Rotaract Club of Pune Zenith celebrated this day with a small twist. On 10th August, 2019 our members conducted a meeting at KHS school. Everyone had brought their favorite books along with them. Our Secretary had prepared a box full of name chits of all the members. All the members had to do was pick up a chit and whoever’s name comes he/she has to lend their favorite book to that person. The event was indeed fun as all the members shared their views about their favorite books. The book exchange event was followed by 2 small Club service activities; the Hearing things game and Pictionary game. The hearing things game is an activity wherein players listen to loud music through headphones while another player whispers a phrase to them. Whereas, Pictionary was a guessing game with players trying to identify specific words from their teammates.  Both the activities were very engaging and helped in improving the bonding between all the members. With this yet another successful event we aim to conduct more activities like these in the future.
